10 days, 2,600 km to Ushuaia via Torres del Paine, Tierra del Fuego and Fitz Roy.
This is the tour for riders who want to reach Ushuaia, the End of the World, without the 6,000 km of Brazil-Argentina it takes to get there. You fly straight into El Calafate, land, and the BMW R1300GS prepared by UpSerra is already waiting for you. Ten days, 2,600 km through the best that Southern Patagonia has to offer — Perito Moreno Glacier, Torres del Paine in Chile, the Strait of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego, the Beagle Channel, and the return via Fitz Roy in El Chaltén.
The route crosses Argentina and Chile four times: AR→CL through Paso Río Don Guillermo (Torres del Paine), CL→AR via a ferry across the Strait of Magellan into Tierra del Fuego, AR→CL on the way back, and CL→AR to close the loop. One day in Ushuaia for the Beagle Channel and Bahia Lapataia. A free day in El Chaltén at the foot of Fitz Roy. A visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier on the second day. The whole logistics chain is UpSerra: hotels, the ferry booking, bilingual guides, a support vehicle, professional photography.
Moderate level. Good pavement on nearly the whole route, with long stages (up to 569 km on D7) interspersed with free days. January and February are the peak of the austral summer — the best weather window of the year in Patagonia: 8–18°C in Ushuaia, up to 25°C in El Chaltén, daylight until 10 p.m. The Patagonian wind is still strong and calls for layered gear. Riders who finish this tour close out one of the most coveted itineraries in world motorcycle touring without turning it into an entire vacation on the bike.

DAY 01 · EL CALAFATE
Arrival in El Calafate
You land at El Calafate airport (FTE) and the UpSerra team welcomes you. Transfer to the hotel, technical briefing, handover of the prepared BMW R1300GS bikes. Welcome dinner with the group.
DAY 02 · PERITO MORENO GLACIER
El Calafate · Perito Moreno Glacier
Visit to the imposing Perito Moreno Glacier, one of Patagonia’s crown jewels. A walk along the boardwalks with a privileged view of the ice field (at certain times of day, huge blocks calve into the lake — a natural spectacle). Free afternoon to explore El Calafate.
DAY 03 · 469 KM · TORRES DEL PAINE
El Calafate → Puerto Natales
Border crossing at Paso Río Don Guillermo and a ride through the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park. Cinematic scenery with granite towers, turquoise-blue lakes and typical Patagonian wildlife. Overnight in Puerto Natales, a Chilean town on the shore of the Última Esperanza Sound.
DAY 04 · 565 KM · STRAIT OF MAGELLAN
Puerto Natales → Rio Grande
Chilean highway to Punta Arenas, a ferry crossing of the Strait of Magellan, and entry into the legendary Tierra del Fuego. A long day on the road with a complete change of scenery and climate. Overnight in Rio Grande, on the island’s Argentine Atlantic coast.
DAY 05 · 212 KM · END OF THE WORLD
Rio Grande → Ushuaia
Arrival at the long-awaited “End of the World”. An emotional stretch through forests and mountains to the southernmost city on the planet. The mandatory photo at the Ushuaia sign. Free afternoon to take it all in.
DAY 06 · USHUAIA · FREE DAY
Beagle Channel / Bahia Lapataia
Free day in Ushuaia. Suggestion: a boat trip along the Beagle Channel (sea lions, penguins, lighthouses at the end of the world), a visit to Bahia Lapataia (where Route 3 officially ends — the end of the Pan-American Highway), or exploring downtown with its cafés, maritime museums and shops.
DAY 07 · 569 KM · BACK TO THE MAINLAND
Ushuaia → Rio Gallegos
Back up through Tierra del Fuego, another ferry crossing of the Strait of Magellan, and return to the South American mainland. A road with a farewell feel to the austral region. Overnight in Rio Gallegos.
DAY 08 · 455 KM · RUTA 40
Rio Gallegos → El Chaltén
The ride back begins on the legendary Ruta 40, heading to the charming village of El Chaltén, at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy. A day on the road with incredible scenery, arriving in the late afternoon at one of the most beautiful places in Patagonia.
DAY 09 · EL CHALTÉN · FREE DAY
El Chaltén · Fitz Roy
A free day in the heart of the Andes. Options: a light hike to Laguna Capri or the Fitz Roy viewpoint, rest, local food experiences and craft breweries. El Chaltén is Argentina’s trekking capital — any choice is a good one.
DAY 10 · 212 KM · WRAP-UP
El Chaltén → El Calafate
Return to the tour’s starting point. Handover of the bikes, get-together and closing dinner with the group. Return flight the next day, or extend your trip on your own.

This is the Fly&Ride tour for riders who want Ushuaia but don’t have 22 free days to do the full ride from Urubici. You fly straight into El Calafate and the BMW R1300GS prepared by the team is already waiting for you. Ten days that start where Patagonia turns spectacular — Perito Moreno Glacier on D2, Torres del Paine on D3, the End of the World on D5.
The route crosses Argentina and Chile four times, with a mandatory ferry across the Strait of Magellan to enter Tierra del Fuego. A closed loop starting and ending in El Calafate. Includes 2 nights in Ushuaia (with optional Beagle Channel and Bahia Lapataia) and 2 nights in El Chaltén at the foot of Fitz Roy. Moderate level with long stages balanced by free days.
No CRLV, no Green Card, no motorcycle paperwork to arrange. The bike is UpSerra’s — all you need is ID (national ID card or passport) and a Category A driver’s license.
