ROUTE 66 EXPERIENCE • OCTOBER 3–16, 2028
Route 66 Tour 2028 — From Chicago to the Pacific
14 days crossing 8 American states.
4,872 km from Chicago to Santa Monica on the most legendary road in the world.
Route 66 isn’t just a road. It’s the most concentrated memory of last century’s America — neon diners, 1950s gas stations, brick motels, landscapes that became cinema. From Chicago, the Mother Road crosses Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California until it dies at the Santa Monica Pier, on the Pacific.
Along the way: the Cadillac Ranch in Texas, Santa Fe with its Spanish colonial architecture, Monument Valley and its red sandstone formations, the Grand Canyon, Seligman (the village that inspired the movie Cars), Sitgreaves Pass with wild donkeys in Oatman, the Hoover Dam and a cinematic arrival under the lights of Las Vegas. Then the Mojave Desert, Sequoia National Park with the largest trees on the planet, and the finish at Santa Monica’s End of the Trail.
This is a Fly&Ride tour: you fly to Chicago, and the bike is waiting for you at the hotel — Harley-Davidson Touring or BMW R1300GS, your choice. Full UpSerra logistics: hand-picked accommodations, bilingual guides, support vehicle, photo coverage. Passport and full Brazilian driver’s license. For anyone who grew up with the image of this road in their head, this is the trip.

ROUTE 66 EXPERIENCE
The Mother Road, your way
Route 66 has existed since 1926 — diners, vintage motels, 1950s gas stations still running, villages frozen in time once the interstates were built and traffic moved elsewhere. This tour preserves that rhythm, with no shortcuts.
You choose the bike: Harley-Davidson Touring (Road King, Heritage Classic, Street Glide, Road Glide or Electra Glide) for the classic American experience, or BMW R1300GS for a more upright riding position and dual-sport versatility. The earlier you confirm your seat, the more options you have.
Eight states in 14 days: Illinois (urban), Missouri (the Mississippi), Oklahoma (cowboy country), Texas (endless horizon), New Mexico (Spanish colonial), Arizona (Grand Canyon, Monument Valley), Nevada (Las Vegas, Hoover Dam) and California (Sequoia, the Pacific). Nearly 5,000 km, and every state with an identity all its own. Full UpSerra logistics: hand-picked hotels, bilingual guiding, mechanical support vehicle, professional photo coverage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a US visa? How does it work?
Yes. Brazilians need a B1/B2 visa or ESTA to enter the US. The consulate interview process can take months — plan ahead. UpSerra guides you through the entire process as part of the included pre-trip assistance.
Does the rental shop accept my Brazilian driver’s license?
Yes. The partner rental shop accepts a full Brazilian Category A driver’s license. You don’t need an international driving permit for this tour.
What motorcycle will I ride?
You choose between a Harley-Davidson Touring model (Road King, Heritage Classic, Street Glide, Road Glide or Electra Glide) or a BMW R1300GS, based on preference and availability. Confirm your bike when you book — the earlier, the more options. Rental is already included in the tour price.
How much does fuel and food cost during the tour?
Fuel and meals are each participant’s own expense. In the United States gasoline is significantly cheaper than in Brazil, and there are dining options for every taste along Route 66 — from roadside diners to more elaborate restaurants. At the initial briefing in Chicago we walk you through the day-to-day of the trip.
What’s the weather like in the US in October?
Excellent. October is considered the best time for Route 66: mild heat in Texas and New Mexico (25–32°C), pleasantly cool at the Grand Canyon and Sequoia (10–20°C), and perfect temperatures in Las Vegas and California (20–28°C). Bring a jacket for the higher-altitude stretches.
I don’t speak English — will I manage?
Perfectly. UpSerra guides are bilingual and present at every moment of the tour — check-ins, restaurants, gas stations, attractions. For everyday situations, basic English helps, but it isn’t required.
Where does the motorcycle pickup and drop-off happen?
Pickup in Chicago on DAY 01 (Oct 3) at the partner rental shop, close to the base hotel. Drop-off in Los Angeles/Santa Monica on DAY 14 (Oct 16), the same day as the return flight. UpSerra coordinates the whole process with the rental shop.
